Karl-Anthony Towns made headlines on Sunday evening when he was seen at Yankee Stadium wearing a shirt that playfully mocked the Boston Celtics. The creator of the original meme behind the shirt is still in disbelief over the entire episode!
TMZ Sports spoke with Jason Dantona, who expressed his astonishment regarding the tremendously viral occurrence from the most recent Subway Series match. Initially, he thought it might be a prank when he heard about KAT's choice of attire.

"I thought it was a joke," Dantona stated. "I was aware that the shirt had launched a couple of weeks prior, especially since we were lined up to play against the Celtics. However, I didn't anticipate any players would actually wear it."
"Initially, I couldn't believe it, but social media exploded, and I began seeing posts from the Yankees and even the MLB. It was a fantastic moment." Dantona described.
For those unfamiliar with Knicks culture, Dantona is famous for his passionate response in a Sidetalk video during the team's season opener in 2021, where he coined the memorable "F*** Boston" phrase.

While he admits that ticket prices are quite high, Dantona hopes to catch Game 2 or Game 5 at Madison Square Garden against the Indiana Pacers, should the playoff series unfold as expected. He strongly believes that the Knicks will make their first NBA Finals appearance since 1999.
"If all goes well, we won't face any injuries this season," Dantona remarked. "I'm confident we’re taking this series in six games."
