Justin Baldoni’s Letter Claiming Blake Lively Strongarmed Taylor Swift Removed from Record

A letter from Justin Baldoni’s legal team accusing Blake Lively of coercing Taylor Swift for a public endorsement has been officially removed from the case files. The judge determined that the content of the letter is not pertinent to the ongoing litigation.

Judge Lewis Liman made the ruling to strike the letter during a session on Thursday, expressing that it did not contain any requests for the court’s action and held no significance concerning the specific matters currently under review.

The judge elaborated that the letter primarily functions to “promote public scandal” by introducing inflammatory accusations against Lively and her legal representation.

Furthermore, Judge Liman indicated that the letter’s claims could incite additional media scrutiny by implying that Lively or her team had attempted to “extort” a famous individual.

Despite the seemingly stern rejection of Baldoni’s claims, a source close to his team remarked that the judge’s decision is simply a matter of not needing letters that lack relevance or specific requests for action. The source added that Baldoni’s lawyers are still at liberty to pursue evidence relating to the matter.

In a recent filing, Baldoni’s team asserted that they had credible information suggesting that Lively threatened to disclose years’ worth of text exchanges if Taylor did not publicly support her amid the ongoing legal issues involving Baldoni.

A week prior, Swift received a subpoena related to the case and has been referenced numerous times throughout these proceedings, chiefly concerning a meeting that reportedly included her, Lively, and Baldoni during the production of a film.
