Joe Biden is currently addressing his recent diagnosis of prostate cancer and is expressing heartfelt thanks to his supporters who have provided love during this challenging time.
This morning, the 46th president shared an encouraging message about his health on social media platform X, alongside his wife, Jill. He wrote, “Cancer touches us all. Like many of you, Jill and I have discovered that we are strongest in our most difficult moments. Thank you for uplifting us with your love and support.”

It was announced last Sunday that Biden has been diagnosed with advanced stage 4 prostate cancer. According to a formal statement, “Last week, President Joe Biden was evaluated after noticing new urinary symptoms, which led to the discovery of a prostate nodule. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer on Friday, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.”
The implications of this diagnosis suggest that the cancer has already spread beyond Biden’s prostate. Fortunately, medical reports indicate that the cancer “appears to be hormone-sensitive, making effective management possible,” and the Bidens are currently consulting with healthcare professionals regarding various treatment plans. Reports have indicated that Biden is resting at his residence in Wilmington, Delaware.
In the wake of this announcement, Biden has received an overwhelming wave of support from the public and notable figures alike.
Former President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump expressed their sadness upon hearing of Biden’s diagnosis, extending their “warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family.”
Additionally, Biden’s Vice President Kamala Harris referred to him as a “fighter,” sharing that she and her husband, Doug Emhoff, are keeping Joe and Jill “in our hearts and prayers.”
Former President Barack Obama also joined in sending well wishes, wishing Biden a “speedy and complete recovery” while adding that Biden has been a strong advocate for cancer reduction initiatives throughout his political career.
