Britney Spears has opened up about her surprising actions during a recent flight, dismissing any notion that her behavior was ‘toxic’ in nature.
The pop sensation took to Instagram late Friday night to present her perspective after media outlets reported on her “difficult” behavior during a chartered jet flight back from Mexico. She humorously labeled the situation as “incredibly funny.”
In her post, Spears expressed that she mistakenly believed smoking was permitted on the JSX jet because the cup holders were situated outside her seat. She shared, “My friend put it in my mouth and lit it for me, so I thought, ‘Oh, so this is a plane where you can smoke!'”
She also noted that she sampled vodka for the first time during the flight, claiming it made her feel “so clear and smart.” This revelation adds another layer of intrigue to the already amusing situation.
While she appeared to brush off the incident with humor, Spears did offer her apologies to anyone who may have been offended by her antics. However, she quickly shifted gears, expressing dissatisfaction with being seated in the back of the plane.
Spears further alleged that the flight crew had embarrassed her and held a negative bias against her from the moment she boarded.

She recounted a peculiar experience, stating, “Nobody was on the plane for the first 20 minutes, and the attendant wouldn’t let me get out of my seat. I just wanted to stand up! She acted strangely, making sure I stayed seated, which I found discomforting! I didn’t appreciate how she handled my seatbelt; it felt like an invasion of my space!”
The incident appears to have been a turbulent experience for everyone involved in the flight.
Earlier reports highlighted the bizarre behavior observed during Britney’s flight from Cabo San Lucas to LAX. Footage capturing her disheveled appearance during the flight reinforced the public’s fascination with the unfolding story.
Reports indicate that her team is increasingly concerned about her mental health and remains surprised by her release from conservatorship in 2021.
